Steam is different from water
Water resistance ratings are tested under controlled conditions, not hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms. Heat can expand materials and make gaskets less effective.
Protect the seals
Avoid exposing watches to hot water, soap, shampoo, and rapid temperature changes. If moisture appears under the crystal, stop using the watch and service it immediately.
